This may be a little known fact, but the City of Hartford is home to the most dominant squash program in the country. Trinity College has won 17 of the last 20 collegiate squash championships. They have beaten powerhouses such as Yale, Princeton and even mighty Harvard.
I was lucky enough to have a front row seat at the championship clinching match at Trinity College. This was a hard fought 5 game set between Trinity College and Harvard University.
Sitting at Trinity College this past weekend reminded me how fortunate it is for the Capitol Squash program to play on the same courts in the same building with this historic college team. Many Capitol Squash students were in attendance watching these players make history, yet again!
Capitol Squash is even more fortunate to have many of these Trinity players mentor its students throughout the year. What an opportunity for these young students to have these top-ranked players as role models!
