About Me

Lynne Tapper

I am a lifelong endurance athlete with the dual goal of training and racing until my bones turn to dust and sharing that passion with as many people as possible.

Ugh. I’ve done everything I could to avoid getting sick. Nasal rinses, nettie pots, Zicam, high dose of Vitamin C, and rest!  Most times it works (and it even works for my kids).  But this time, I got beat! I was forced to my bed at 7:00 p.m. with the worst sinus headache I have ever had.  At first, all I could think about was what workouts I would miss.  Due to a snowstorm, I missed my swim workout because the pool was closed. 🙁  Now, I was going to miss my strength and indoor cycling workout.

Oh well. Nothing I can do.  Rest up. Drink lots of fluids. And cut myself a break. It’s only February.  I’ll be fine.

After just finishing Born to Run by Christopher McDougall, I’m ready to jump into Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. At least this downtime won’t be a total loss!
