About Me

Lynne Tapper

I am a lifelong endurance athlete with the dual goal of training and racing until my bones turn to dust and sharing that passion with as many people as possible.

Much of Friday was spent spending even more money at the Expo, cleaning my bike, driving the bike route, and thinking about how to pack all of my Transition bags.

I think it’s a good idea to drive the bike route, but it can also lead to a bit more anxiety.  Damn, there are a lot of hills!  We saw many, many competitors riding along the course.  Many fancy bikes, helmets, and gear.  I have no idea if this is their 1st or 15th Iron distance triathlon, but it was fun to look at all of the different types of bodies, gear, and apparel.

At one point, the drive was getting so long, I said to Leland, “I get it! There are lots of hills. We can turn around now.”

I’ll get an up-close look at them on Sunday.
